About Walkies

Hi!  I’m Maureen Sullivan, lifelong pet lover and native Chicagoan. I have been professionally sitting pets since 2008.  I’ve found that this is a great way to play with OPP (other people’s pets). I have met many professionals who needed reliable, honest and caring care for their precious pets.

I live on the near South Side of Chicago and have decided to focus my business within a 5 mile radius of my home.  This allows me to be near enough to any client’s home to handle special care and trips to the vet if needed.

I grew up in Chicago with dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles, birds and continued to choose to live with pet cats and a ferret in my adult life.  My husband, Rob and I currently share our home with 3 rescue kitties ages 11, 8 and just under 2.  I have taken care of animals with diabetes, dental woes, renal failure, old age issues, a variety of cancers, digestive issues, broken limbs, feral/partially feral, pregnant and have rescued too many animals to count.  So far, I haven’t met an animal that I didn’t like and with the exception of  feral cats the response has been mutual.

I really love what I do and would like to be able to offer your pets the attention and TLC that I offer my own.

Walkies is bonded and insured (see services page for details).  We’re dedicated and dependable.  We leave happy pets and owners in our wake, and we don’t bite off more than we can chew. We’re dedicated to this service and serious about trust – in both directions.
